Jon Powell serves as Senior Advisor and Coach for M². He has been in this role since 2024 and provides counsel and ongoing leadership training and development for members of the firm.  He also provides oversight and direction in strengthening the M² culture and plays a key role with the partners in the recruitment and selection of talent.

Jon’s career includes more than 40 years in business management consulting, starting with ATKearney, and making stops at KPMG, Aon Hewitt, and others. He spent the last 15 years at EY as an executive in the People Consulting practice, leading transformation and change initiatives for a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Jon’s passion for human behavior led him to pursue coaching to further support executives through periods of growth and change. He is a graduate of the Hudson Institute for Coaching and has a proven track record of success in helping executives achieve their goals.

Jon has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Missouri, and earned an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has several coaching certifications, including the Associate Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation.
